Also of Interest: Condo Nova is a bit confused about the origins of the name for “Letson Court, and wonders if the name pertains to Robert Letson, a Rhode Island Loyalist who immigrated to Halifax and fathered 18 children.

When Halkirk Properties began promoting Letson Court upon its completion in 2006, it said:

“Letson Court is Halifax’s newest southend neighbourhood for those with a passion for the active, urban lifestyle. In the heart of everything that’s downtown. Work. Play. Exercise. Shop. Restaurants. Theatre.

Letson Court’s style of urban living also gives you the security of fully enclosed, underground parking, the practicality of in-suite and basement storage and the great convenience of living in the heart of it all.”

These promotional sentiments are still being used today, but the adjectives “prestigious” and “quiet” have been added to the mix, which means that Letson Court is now billed as a prestigious neighbourhood condominium designed for those with a passion for the active urban lifestyle, who want to live in a quiet building, yet be close to the heart of everything Halifax has to offer.
