Dartmouth's King's Wharf Development Welcomes New Business

—December 13, 2017
If you happen to suffer from hirsutism, or are otherwise just generally hirsute, Dartmouth’s King’s Row multi-use development now has another reason for you to consider making the move into one of its condo or rental units. That’s because the Lucky Cat Barbershop celebrated its grand opening this week at its location on the ground floor of the King’s Wharf Killick building. The new barbershop joins the Just Us Cafe, Le Marche, Il Trullo, Sidecar Goods, The Watch That Ends the Night, and Grund Designer Goldsmith as other King’s Wharf-located retail and restaurant businesses.

The shop’s prices are on par with other Halifax/Dartmouth barbershops, with haircuts offered at $30; hot shaves, $35; and facial hair trims, $20. Business has reportedly been brisk since Tuesday’s opening, and the three partners expect to add new area customers to a slate of loyal customers they garners from their previous workplaces.

We’re not quite sure why the barbershop is called “Lucky Cat,” as the shop is dog friendly, and customers are greeted by Patsy, a pug that apparently serves as the shop’s mascot. If you’re feeling a bit shaggy, you can get that mop cut at Unit 102 at 49 Kings Wharf Place. And if you go, please ask how the cat got lucky.
