With more than 50 percent of units pre-sold, the developer of Dartmouth’s Harbour Isle mixed-use development is now ready to begin construction of Seapoint, the project’s first condominium tower. Seapoint will join the already completed apartment tower, the Hazelton, as the development’s second residential building.
At 16 storeys, Seapoint will house 104 condo units and feature amenities including a well-equipped gym, catering kitchen with party/dining area, outdoor barbecue patio, furnished guest suite, heated underground parking, and on-site retail. With starting prices at around $250,000, unit sizes range from 905-square-feet single bedrooms to 1,833-square-feet, two-bedroom townhouse style. Located on the development’s waterfront and adjacent to the Dartmouth Yacht Club, units also feature large balconies with great views of Halifax Harbour.
With a location that puts it in easy access of downtown Dartmouth, downtown Halifax, Burnside and the airport, Harbour Isle is being developed as a “work, live and play” community. As the development expands in the coming years, amenities and services such as a grocery store, wellness centre, restaurants and retail stores will join the already opened Starbucks and Pita Pit in the development’s Magazine Landing commercial area, which will serve as the heart of the unified waterfront community. Plans also call for the development of a 175,000-square-foot office building and a 175-room hotel with 4,800-square-foot restaurant.
